What is Frozen Synapse ?

Frozen Synapse is a paused time, asynchronous simulationable decision, simultaneous execution, squad based tactical game.

Here's what this mean:
You play either offline in singleplayer or online in multiplayer.
You control a handful of soldiers to which you must give orders so that they win against your opponent's team. 
The goals are various but to win, your units will have to kill enemy units while staying alive, and thus the challenge is born.
Game is separated in sequences of decision and execution phases
During the decision phase you give orders to your units such as move there, aim there, then duck, wait 0.5 sec.
You can also do the same with enemy units and simulate the execution to find out if your units would win in this scenario, if not you can change your plan until you you feel you've found the best tactic.
After you submit your plan either you wait for your opponent to submit his, or if he already did you watch the execution (the outcome) and then you're in the second execution (planning) phase of the second round. This goes on until  the last round or one team wins.
An important aspect of the game is that units are not limited in movement or action as it's not tile based or action (point)s based.
